4.  Client Responsibilities

5.  Project Scope

Each project will be based on the agreed scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing communicated through email, proposal, invoice, quotation, or written communication. Any work outside the agreed scope may require additional fees and revised timelines.

Additional-scope work may include major rewriting, additional analyses, new tables or figures, reanalysis of data, additional journal formatting, additional review rounds, major protocol changes, new database searches, or new deliverables not originally agreed upon.

6.  Payments

Biovate collects payments online and/or through approved payment methods. Payment terms will be communicated before project initiation. Unless otherwise stated in writing, work may begin only after receipt of the agreed advance payment.

Fees paid to Biovate cover consulting and service work only. Journal publication charges, article processing charges, ethics fees, registration fees, software charges, third-party tool fees, bank charges, taxes, or institutional fees are not included unless specifically mentioned.

7.  Refund Policy

Payments made for consulting services, research work, analysis, writing, review, or project execution are generally non-refundable once work has begun. A partial refund may be considered only at Biovate’s discretion if the project has not started, no substantial work has been completed, and a refund is specifically agreed in writing.

No refund will be provided for delays caused by incomplete information, delayed client responses, changes in client requirements, journal rejection, academic rejection, or third-party decisions beyond Biovate’s control.

8.  Timelines and Revisions

Estimated timelines are based on the agreed project scope and availability of complete information from the client. Timelines may change due to delayed responses, incomplete data, changes in scope, additional revisions, technical issues, third-party delays, or journal/institutional requirements.

Minor revisions related to the agreed scope may be included. Major revisions, new requests, reanalysis, restructuring, additional tables, additional formatting, or changes in project direction may be charged separately.

9.  Intellectual Property

Client-provided materials remain the property of the client or rightful owner. Deliverables prepared by Biovate for a paid client project may be used by the client for the intended purpose after full payment has been received, subject to any specific written agreement.

Biovate retains ownership of its internal templates, methods, workflows, training materials, frameworks, business processes, and proprietary tools.

10.  Confidentiality

Biovate treats client documents, research ideas, datasets, manuscripts, and project materials as confidential. Additional confidentiality terms may be agreed through a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement or service contract.

11.  No Medical, Legal, or Regulatory Advice

Biovate does not support plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, ghost authorship misconduct, unethical publication practices, or misuse of research services.
